Israeli army strikes multiple areas in Gaza in new ceasefire violations
Airstrikes were reported southwest of Rafah and east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Artillery fire also hit eastern Gaza City, including the Tuffah and Zeitoun neighborhoods, accompanied by gunfire from nearby military vehicles. In northern Gaza, aircraft targeted buildings east of Jabalia and Beit Lahia, while naval vessels fired shells toward coastal areas from which Israeli troops had previously withdrawn under the truce.
No casualties were reported in the latest round of strikes. However, the Gaza Health Ministry stated that since the ceasefire began, Israeli attacks have killed 425 Palestinians and injured 1,189 others.
The broader offensive, ongoing since October 2023, has left Gaza devastated, with more than 71,000 people killed — the majority women and children — and over 171,000 wounded, according to official figures.
